The Leftovers - About the Band

The Leftovers are:

Dave Carlson - guitar.  Dave started playing the guitar during his teenage years in the 1970s, when this music was fresh on FM radio.  Then work got in the way.  But he has now happily returned to his roots.

John Dunn (JD) - lead vocals, harp.  John grew up singing along to most of these songs on FM radio. At Colgate University, JD fronted The Repercussions, an 80s rock band, which still makes appearances at his college reunions.

Stuart Friedman - keyboards.  Stuart plays lots of instruments, including drums, guitar, and bass in addition to keyboards. With regard to keyboards he agrees with Bach's perspective: "There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself."

Dan Furman - bass, vocals.  Dan learned to play "Hot Crossed Buns" and "Twinkle Twinkle" in elementary school.  He's learned a few more songs since then.

Beth Furman - drums, vocals.  Beth loves a good beat. For most of her life she has found her groove with dance and movement, but a few years back, a set of drum sticks were placed into her hands and she was told to “just play.” So with The Leftovers, Beth enjoys getting her groove on, “just playin’” drums and doing some singing too.

Dan Shapiro - guitar, vocals
